You might be forgiven for thinking that everyone in the Circus camp is too busy having fun in Ibiza to worry about us poor unfortunates stuck at home in Liverpool (guys, if anyone wants to send us on a free press trip to the White Isle for, uhh, research, then we’ll be more than happy to oblige. We are great researchers, really thorough) but you’d be wrong, happily. For whilst they’re having fun in the sun (really?! – Cliché Ed) they’ve also manage to do a bit of nifty work and booked three debut acts for this month’s event.
This Friday – that’s right, Friday, don’t turn up on Saturday, you’ll be disappointed – introduces a triple threat of DJ’s to the Circus decks, with non-other than Mixmag Award DJ of the Year 2012, Solomun, headlining (pic). That’s pretty good isn’t it? I mean, we were impressed. They’ve also invited Subb-an along who is fresh from mixing one third of the new www.crosstownrebels.com Rebel Rave 3 CD, and has remixed everyone from Jamie Woon to Lana Del Ray.
Finally MK aka Mark Kinchen is back! The much-lauded US DJ and producer a returning figure-head of house music after a decade and a half’s hiatus his original 90s produced music has never sounded more in vogue.
And let’s not forget – as if we ever could – Yousef will be hosting the night – and probably going round the club hugging people in order to retain his Nicest Man in Dance Music title. Circus residents Lewis Boardman and Scott Lewis are providing support too (we’re not sure if they’ll dole out hugs quite so readily however).
That all sounds a bit alright, doesn’t it? If you fancy going, details are below (remember, it’s on FRIDAY), or if you want to chance your hand and win yourself a pair of tickets, RT this article on Twitter or Like it on Facebook.
