Friday sees sometime Furry Animal, composer, producer, filmmaker and author Gruffydd Maredudd Bowen Rhys – or just Gruff Rhys if you prefer – kicking off procedings in fine style on Friday 15th August.
Keeping the party going – and then some – Deep Shit – the London based record label, club night and radio show curated by Jack Savidge of Friendly Fires and Edwin Congreave of Foals – are playing an extended set in Blade Factory that same night. Friendly Fires were born to DJ, incidentally. The sooner they realise that, the better.
Saturday sees the wonderful former Dove Mr Jimi Goodwin headline in Camp fresh off the back of his critically acclaimed solo album Odludek, and a warmly received support slot for his Elbow mates. And, no doubt, there’ll be plenty of Doves tracks thrown into the mix.
Blade Factory’s snagged Dauwd: Championed by Benji B, Gilles Peterson and Jamie XX amongst others Dauwd has toured extensively as a DJ, headlining club shows all around the UK and Europe, whilst simultaneously winning over the likes of Nick Hppner (OstGut Ton) and Kompakt label boss Michael Mayer.
Tickets for these shows, as with the previously announced Gruff Rhys/Deep Shit gigs the night before, are just £12.50 and £6 respectively, per evening, and are available via See Tickets and Skiddle.
BUT we’ve got a pair of tickets each for Friday and Saturday. All you need to do to enter is like or RT this here post.
