They’re one of those bands that you probably haven’t heard of unless you’re achingly cool with your finger pressed hard on the musical zeitgeist. They’ve had 4 sold out 7″ singles, support tours with The Raconteurs and The Brian Jonestown Massacre and now with their debut album ‘Late Morning Light’ gaining plaudits from Mojo and Uncut, The See See’s brand of psychedelic pop is finally getting the attention it deserves. Having recently completed a tour of Germany, the lads are now heading up North to the Williamson Tunnels for a gig with Wirral based band By The Sea. Celebrating the launch of their split 7” single ‘Old Coasts/Automobile’, you can also catch The Rise of General Mezmar and Owls* on the bill, along with a Bill Ryder Jones (you know, him who was in The Coral) DJ set. So that’s 4 boss bands, a boss indie DJ, in a boss venue for the even more boss price of a fiver. Then if you fancy it, after the gig you can head into town and impress fit muso birds/lads with your newly found knowledge of up and coming talent. You can’t buy that kind of pulling power, making the £5 tariff seem like a bit of a bloody bargain. – Stephanie Heneghan The See See w/ By The Sea, The Rise of General Mezmar, Owls*, Bill Ryder Jones DJ Liverpool Williamson Tunnels, Saturday, 11th June 2011 £5, 8pm Posted June 9, 2011 Leave a Reply Click here to cancel reply.
