American indie dreamers, Wild Nothing, come to salve our troubled souls this March, with their blend of straight up pop, and wistful observations on love, loss and loneliness. Reverb, rattling percussion, hazy guitars and hook-laden mini masterpieces single out Jack Tatum’s second outing, Nocturne. If anything, we like it better than debut, Gemini. And THAT was our album of 2010. Or was it 9? Hey, it’s dream pop, let’s not get hung up on specifics. It’s enough to say this is music for pleasure. And since when was that a crime? And we bet the NME hates it. Which is all the more reason to get there.
