There’s a big fat sale on at Preserved this month. So, should you be in the market for original, reworked, or reprinted retro glam, there’s really nowhere else to go (except, perhaps, your Dad’s ‘secret’ suitcase) than their small but gorgeously attired stall at Central Hall, Renshaw Street.
Lucy and Emily, the Preserved girls, have been spotted at festivals around the country, selling their dazzling range of vintage, retro and one-off gems, jewllery and accessories. And they’re still finding time to scour the nation’s charity shops, looking for that all-important fresh stock.
You can be sure, if it’s in Preserved, you’re looking at something you just ain’t gonna see elsewhere. So if you like it, grab it.
“We know people want to see affordable things. We would want cheap clothes so other people will too,” Emily says of this month’s summer sale.
Preserved Vintage is now based in Quiggins Grand central hall, but later this month the girls will be at the rather excellent Kendal Calling festival – along with Doves, The Coral, Wild Beasts (natch) and co – on 30 July, attired, no doubt in suitably glam Hunter wellies and something playful and shimmery above. You’ll not mistake them for The Coral, of that you can be sure.
But this month, head over to Renshaw Street where you just might find that Biba smock in mulberry with gold embroidery. But there’s every possibility we may have to fight you for it. See, we have just the hairclip…
Check out their website too – everything’s just £10 this month, with free postage.
