The Royal Court is on the lookout for a young Lennon and McCartney to appear in Bob Eaton’s musical (which had a successful run in the West End, and Broadway) about the life of John Lennon this autumn. Open auditions take place next Tuesday, 15 June.  It’s first come, first served, so get there for 10am with a photo, and CV including a contact telephone number. And prepare the song I Saw Her Standing There. The show made a star out of a young Mark McGann, so a lucrative voice-over career could follow…

Playing age – must be able to play from 17 up to 35 years
Left-handed bass player essential
Strong singing voice essential, thumbs-aloft predilection not required.

Long to be Lennon?

Playing age – must be able to play from 18 up to 30years
Electric Guitar player
Strong singing voice essential, dubious working-class background best not discussed.
