The mUmU collective has been responsible for some of the glitchiest, dirtiest electronica nights in Liverpool over the past 18 months or so – and Silo, their new spiritual home, is their uptown base. The old 051 building is a suitably unreconstituted, sweaty melting pot (‘a vessel in which to mix’ they call it) – the perfect testing ground for their fail-safe recipe of deep house, electronica and techno for music-loving clubbers. All day BBQs on Bank Hols, previous DJs include Ivan Smagghe and Guy Gerber, and a solid resident in Lee Rands. What’s not to like? Apart from the odd burned sausage, that is?
