During our winter hibernation, we’ve sat down and actually had time to listen to music, like normal people. No, really! And the past week’s thrown up a rather thrilling new Liverpool singer: Låpsley.

The 17 year old student’s new video for her track ‘Station’ has been making its way around some of the savvier music blogs recently, and rightly so. Låpsley – Holly Lapsley Fletcher to her ma – coos along to the downbeat backing track, as icy cold as Oslo (part The XX, part James Blake – veh on trend, darling) in the one-take vid, directed by Mike Brits. It’s a pretty impressive calling card, and although it feels like an artist not quite fully formed just yet, that makes it all the more interesting. We’re looking forward to more. Have a listen below.
