We posted earlier in the month that an Occupy Liverpool event was rumoured for this weekend. And now a few more details have leaked out about what’s happening if you wanted to get involved.

The official Facebook page suggests that this Saturday 15th, anyone interested should meet outside News From Nowhere at noon (here’s an idea – how about getting there a bit earlier and buy something from the excellent bookshop first?). From there, the event moves to Derby Square.

It says: “Bring tents, sleeping bags, megaphones and solidarity banners.” But not your banker mates, obviously.

The protest’s probably not going to be on the scale of Wall Street or any of the bigger events across the world of course, but as a peaceful show of solidarity to the occupiers across the pond, it’s one way to spend your Saturday morning.
