You Probably Won’t Walk Alone

Act like a tourist, and take a walk on the river side this week. You might be surprised at what you discover.

Got a spare 90 minutes? We mean, between matches, that is… take a free tour of the waterfront – but, this time, instead of aimless wandering, take it with an expert.

As part of the RIBA Northwest Architecture Festival, the Waterfront Walks (from 15-26 June) offer the chance to take a closer look at the waterfront, tunnels, old dock, Mann Island (that should be fun), and even a spot-the-Liver Bird-tour.

They’re run by the good folk at the Liverpool Architecture Society, so they’re probably not going to be making things up as they go along.

You’ve got to book at least 24 hours before tours set off, and places are booking up fast. Well, the weather’s lovely, and, you know, there’s nothing on the telly..
