Like you, the news that David Bowie’s not here anymore hit us a little harder than we expected. But in passings like this, it’s a good time to revisit people’s life and work. In the case of David, it’s his unbelievable catalogue of music and film. The folks at the wonderful A Small Cinema have put together a lastminute screening this week as a tribute to the man himself.
1976’s ‘The Man Who Fell To Earth’, a sci-fi classic, was Bowie’s first starring role, and the alien-crashing-to-earth narrative is a pretty nice summing up of Bowie’s impact on culture. Beautifully calm and considered, it’ll be a lovely way to remember one of the greatest artists we’ve ever had.
