We love a li’l bit of Bastille – last time they were here they played a storming gig at the Stanley Theatre, and this time they’re back for an appearance at Sound City. Fresh from their #1 album ‘Bad Blood’, they’ll be headlining the Duke Street Garage on Thursday night. They’re actual, proper popstars now. It’ll be rammed.

Also on today’s Sound City announcement: local Wirral weirdo-pop boys Loved Ones, who’ll be previewing tracks from their eagerly anticipated forthcoming album at the Cathedral, as well as a solid Mersey smorgasbord of Afternaut, Silent Sleep, By The Sea, Tea Street Band, Bird and All We Are who all feature across the weekend.

The Sound City lineup’s pretty damn packed this year – The Walkmen, Noah And The Whale, Dexys, AlunaGeorge, Savages, Everything Everything, Melody’s Echo Chamber, The Oh Sees, Mount Kimbie, and loads more are all pencilled in. It’s set to be one of the best yet, we reckon.
