Radar: Casiokids at Shipping Forecast

Norwegians would. Casiokids head to The Hold at the Shipping Forecast next month. They'll put a smile on your face. You see if they don't.

What: So, what is it about Norway and brilliantly brittle electropop? From Fra Lippo Lippi to Royksopp, a-Ha to Annie, the land of fjords and Primula certainly knows its way around a vintage Korg modulator. Hailing from the rainy city of Bergen, Casiokids continue the bloodline with their spiky, joyous clatter of chip music and squelchy synths. In short, they push all our buttons.

Where: The ensemble heads to the Shipping Forecast, Slater Street, thanks to Club Evol, with support from Elephant, to showcase stuff from their new tongue-twatting album, ‘Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen’.

When: 22 November.
