We’re rather excited about this year’s Liverpool Music Week – they’ve been consistently putting on great shows at Mojo over the past few months, and if those type of artists are anything to go by this year’s Music Week proper will be one to remember.
We’ve already announced one batch of artists, and now comes news of the event’s closing party, headlined by the excellent Ghostpoet. He’s already visited the city once this year, but this visit is set to be a triumphant return following his Mercury Prize nomination.
Joining him will be thrashy punks Cerebral Ballzy, folk ‘chanteuse’ Beth Jeans Houghton, electro-pop favourites The Whip, London reverb-rock gang Echo Lake and loads more.
It all takes place across multiple rooms in the Contemporary Urban Centre, and it’s brilliant to see the underused venue get another big event there following this year’s triumphant Threshold weekend.
Local bands are also represented at the party: Stealing Sheep, Hot Club de Paris, Outfit and Mugstar all appear amongst others. Have a look at the full lineup, shamefully copy and pasted from the press release, below.
