Good Day Suunshine

Suuns bring their atmospheric loops, stoner-rock grooves and glitchy beats to Mojo to show us just why we should be grateful Montreal's still sending its Atlantic storm fronts westwards. Recommended.

Some bands don’t need to travel with a passport, so indelibly is their hometown inked into their musical makeup.  Take a listen to Suuns stew of, er, sunny, glitchy indie electronica and whip smart rock and, yep, that’s a Montreal musical palette if ever you heard one.

The four piece share much of their DNA with their Secretly Canadian bandmates, but – with their wigout seven minute epics, spooky vocals, and their closet Led Zep tendencies, they’ve a touch more promise than most.

So go get yourself some clever points and discover their sparse, gauzy wonderment for yourself, when they showcase debut set, Zeroes QC, next week in town at Mojo, for Liverpool Music Week.
