Alehouse, eatery and live music space in one shipshape venue – The Shipping Forecast is rough hewn, glitter free and implanted like some alien cell into the heart of Slater Street. And suddenly, the Ropewalks gets interesting. Great, decently priced grub, and a grubby, decadent music policy to boot. Expect live music most weekends, downstairs in ‘The Hold’, and DJs upstairs. Good Sunday roasts.
