Danny Howells Digs Deeper

How to have a birthday party: invite Danny Howells, hire out a tunnel, rave. Repeat for six hours.

danny howellsYou can be sure of one thing when you witness a Danny Howells DJ set. You get your money’s worth from the lad. Howells is still a knob-twiddler of note, remixing for the likes of Robbie Williams, the legendary BT and Destiny’s Child. And he’s shared vinyl duties with Deep Dish as Size DDD, sampling Eminen’s remarkably un-precsient ‘nobody listens to techno’ refrain.

Got a feeling they’ll be listening this weekend at The Williamson Tunnels though, as Howells blisters his way through the damp, dark venue to deliver one of his legendary six-hour sets.

The occasion? It’s Freeze’s fifth birthday party. And we’re all invited.

“As part of our birthday celebrations, we decided we wanted to try and support a cause that has become close to us in the last few months. We therefore present: Freeze Digs Deeper for MacMillan Cancer Research. It’s a weekend of charity focused events cumulating in the show at The Tunnels and we will strive to raise as much money as possible across the weekend. Donations will be requested at the show, we ask you to dig deep,” Freeze says. Deep house, after all, deserves deep pockets.

Now, if ever, your tunnels need you. Tickets £15 adv.
