Radar: Sirens at Drop The Dumbells

Pedals, noise and psychedelic guitars from Liverpool's female-fronted alt-music scene at Sirens.

In the mood for some female-fronted alternative music this weekend? Of course you are. And Seawitches and With Teeth are hosting such a night a Drop The Dumbells as luck would have it, where both will be launching new EPs.

We’ve been enjoying the former’s Space Gun – all chugging bass, wall-of-sound and disturbing vocals and available to buy here or in physical ‘Compact Disc’ format on the night. Meanwhile, With Teeth is the new project of former Wet Mouth (there’s some ripe associations to play with) vocalist Veslemøy Rustad Holseter.

But there’s more – expect music from one-woman album machine Claire Welles and Super Space Project (below) plus DJ sets and visuals from Outline Music and Riddance

We’re promised lots of pedals, noise and psychedelic guitars. We’ll be tying ourselves to a mast.
