FACT and Leaf present The Garden

Annoyed when you have to traverse the 100-or-so yards that connect Leaf with FACT? Well, fear not, because the two have joined forces to create an exciting new hang-out in Liverpool’s Ropewalks at the multi-media building.

The Garden by LEAF at FACT promises a simple and fresh menu and wide range of teas and beverages, with a focus on vegetarian options in the shape of soups and sandwiches. Matching sustenance with social has been a recipe that has served Leaf incredibly well, especially since its arrival on Bold Street – the multi-purpose venue seems to have racked up as many awards since opening as it’s served cups of tea (286,000 if you’re wondering).

And much like the set-up at Leaf – now a thriving for social groups, gigs and an eclectic range of events – The Garden will also stage events and provide a space for meetings and networking events.

The Garden will replace the current cafe at FACT (pictured, above right), currently run by Franklin’s, who run a popular delicatessen and cafe in St Paul’s Square in the business district.

The new Garden will be unveiled on Thursday 14 March to coincide with a new exhibition - The Art of Pop Video, which will draw on some of the most memorable moments in music and incorporate more than 100 music videos spanning the past 80 years as the media evolved into a genre in its own right. 

The opening of The Garden also takes place in FACT’s 10th year of operation. As a result 2013 will see a special exhibition, Turning FACT Inside Out, in June.

We can only see two of our most frequent hang-outs in the city centre joining forces as a good thing and can’t wait to see experience the vision for The Garden first-hand.
