Radar: Made-Here’s 1st birthday party

Brilliant goodies shop Made-Here celebrates a year with a day-long party this weekend. You're invited. (There'll be cakes)

We’re big fans of local store Made-Here, whose space in the Metquarter bulges with brilliant, unique and handcrafted stuff to buy. Over the past 12 months it’s become one of our go-to places for a payday splurge on a shopping bag full of lovely things, or the traditional ‘OH MY GOD I’VE FORGOTTEN SOMEONE’S BIRTHDAY PLEASE HELP ME’ panic buy.

Previously a pop-up store (read an interview with founder Kate Stewart here), it became more permanent, and this Sunday they’re celebrating a full year of Made-Here. Naturally, they’re having a birthday party to celebrate. Hooray! We’re promised live music while you rummage, alongside cake (a free one with every purchase) and also half price framing if you buy a print on Sunday. Get along and support another independent city retailer doing great, positive things.
