Calling all wannabe Svengalis

Hey, you. Yes, you. Want to be the next music mogul? Or even just learn the fine art of negotiating a deal? This weekend's Sound City masterclass could be your first step to certain Cowell-dom.

What could you be doing this weekend? How about learning about how to pursue a career in music, without having to make a fool of yourself in front of Louis Walsh? The Sound City MasterClass in how to thrive in the music industry takes place on Sunday, 1pm until 3pm, in Parr St Studio 2.

And they’re cramming more musical goodness into the session than a double Now CD (all killer, no filler), with insights into the art of negotiation skills (something we could do well with learning), with guest speakers including Dan Thomas, who worked on the successful Bodies Exhibition in Liverpool ONE (er, we’re sure even dead bodies love a bit of Des’ree), and Rich McGinnis, who runs Chibuku.

To register and secure your place at the MasterClass, email andrew@liverpoolsoundcity.co.uk with your name and postcode.
