Fan Shi San at Open Eye Gallery, 31st January

EVENT Fan Shi San heads down to Mann Island on Thursday for a talk about his series ‘Two of Us’, which explores Chinese identity in relation to its one child only policy, applied to married urban couples since the 70s. It’s set to be an enlightening, intriguing glimpse into the life of a practising Chinese artist. 12.30pm, free, book online.

Whole at Unity Theatre, from 31st January

THEATRE Any play which has the tagline ‘Sex. Death. Love. Religion. Dubstep’ is well worth a look. This new teenage-focused 20 Stories High production, a company that encourages new writers and youth theatre, takes over the Unity from Thursday 31st til Saturday 2nd. More information
