Radar: The Village, Camp and Furnace

Another reason to head ten minutes out of town - November sees The Village decamp to Camp and Furnace.

Here’s a question for you. What did we do before Camp and Furnace? No, we’ve no idea either. Especially when we hear of cool new events such as The Village.

Billing itself as an indoor festival celebrating independent stuff, The Village tickles all our boxes and is exactly why The Baltic is our new favourite zone in the city (it’s always been our favourite brackish northern European sea).

“The even is a celebration of local and independent art, fashion, music and food, and will include stalls, interactive green screen videography, TAKEOVER album artwork installation, street food, live bands, and DJ’s,” says organiser (and Deadmau5 favourite), Clean Cut Kid’s Greta Bech.

With trade stands from the wonderful Payper Tiger people, Radiers Vintage, Enola Rose, The Vessel, Lucy E. Wilson and Duke Street Espresso, street food from the mighty Rhubarb and Custard and music from The Mono LPs, Natalie McCool, Hey Carrianne (pic), Clean Cut Kid and Johnny Sands this is set to be a must-attend event and exactly the sort of thing to start our Christmas shopping at. Let’s hope it’s the first of many.
