Radar: The Grimm Regale at The Kazimier

What are you doing next weekend? How about entering a surreal, fairytale world, complete with a groaning table of the finest foods and wines, accompanied by minstrels and performers, for a dinner party with a dark and delicious twist...

There’s not much more we can add to the general wonderment and gratitude bestowed on the great Kazimier crew and their garden of earthly delights (we’ve just spent a very chilled out afternoon there, listening to Theophilus London and drinking cool Peronis, and wishing Summer wasn’t nearly over), but this week sees a magical event that will see the space transformed into a cross between Tom’s Midnight Garden, a Guillermo del Toro film and a molecular gastronomy adventure.

Fusing a seven course feast with synchronised performance, music by the Kazimier favourites ApaTt and Dog Show, and the dark imaginings of the Brothers Grimm, Feasts of Fantasia isn’t like going to Nandos. Of that we can be certain. More than that we cannot say.

“This is the first in a series of an artistic and culinary collaboration,” Kazimier says of their production, with friends and co-collaborators, “realising the fateful charms and dark curiosities of The Brothers Grimm in one fantastical feast. Take a seat in a surreal outdoor setting…”

Dress code is midnight finery. Tickets are £40. Seven courses, eat as much as you like, drinks served alongside the meal.
