Radar: Moon Duo at Kazimier

The weather's miserable, and we've already got post-Bank Holiday blues. But we're ready to blow them away this evening with some fine US psych-rock...

Local promoters Harvest Sun put on more gigs than we can possibly cover. Suffice to say, they’re always top notch: a mixture of the world’s finest folk, electronica and psych bands.

Tonight’s gig is no different: husband and wife team Moon Duo feature a member of the legendary Wooden Shjips, which, if you’ve ever heard their driving San Franciscan weirdo-rock, is a stamp of supreme quality. Moon Duo are a slightly different beast: droney, scuzzy pop that sounds like it’s been recorded on a knackered 30 year old tape recorder on a beach (er, it probably was). If you’re completely sick of this grim weather already, head to the comfort of the Kazimier tonight and delve into some deeper vibes. Great supports, too.
